Here is how to test direct print from printer without passing the computer.

How To Self Test: Epson Printer

Epson printer type:
C series:
C41, C43, C45, C42, C58, C61, C62, C63, C65, C67, C79, C85, C86, C87, etc.

R series:
R210, R230, R270, etc.

• Prepare a paper on the printer unit.
• Press and hold down the paper/resume then press power button

Epson printer type:
CX Series: CX, CX 3600 3500, 5100 CX3700, CX, CX CX, CX 4900 5900, etc

• Prepare a paper on the printer unit.
• Press and hold the power button and then press the ink/ink power light indicator blinks up to 1x and then release the button.
