Berfungsi sebagai pengaman mainboard printer apabila terjadi konslet / hubung singkat pada mainboard printer yang mati total

Berikut merupakan beberapa penyebab putusnya fuse pada printer :
Disebabkan oleh tegangan listrik naik turun dari PLN (AC 220).
Colokan kabel ke stop kontak kendor atau sebaliknya yang kurang pas.
Kebanjiran tinta yang mengenai sistem board dinamo sensor tinta bocor sehingga mengenai head dan menyampaikan perintah error.
Kebanjiran tinta pada dudukan chip dan chip cartridge. Head error atau jebol. Kabel fleksibel terkena tinta sehingga menyebabkan konslet putus.
Kerja mekanik yang selalu terganggu/sering nyantol membuat sistem bekerja kelebihan panas dan akhirnya fuse putus.
Salah pasang head, miring, kurang pas pada dudukannya.
Kabel power belum dilepas saat pemasangan head.
